About the William Morehouse Scholarship

Presented by NYSBA's Research & Education Foundation, the William Morehouse Scholarship was instituted to assist students who are entering a course of study SPECIFIC to the residential construction industry. Its purpose is to assist students in their pursuit of a career in residential construction and to provide employers in New York State with a strong, industry-qualified workforce. CRBRA is proud to partner with NYSBA REF in this important effort to help build a qualified workforce in the Capital Region. As such, CRBRA will match $500/applicant for up to two applicants who are approved for a scholarship by the REF Scholarship Committee.

2. There are two versions of the application; one for first-time applicants; and another for applicants who have applied and/or been rewarded the scholarship previously.

4. Email your completed forms to CRBRA's Membership & Events Coordinator, Trista Kapusta, at [email protected]. Or, print and mail them to CRBRA, 10 Old Plank Rd, Suite 1, Clifton Park, NY 12065.

Deadlines

1. Applications are due to CRBRA by Friday, April 7. 
2. CRBRA staff will contact applicants to schedule an interview upon receiving the application.
3. Interviews will be completed by Friday, April 21.
4. CRBRA will submit recommendations to REF's Scholarship Committee by Wednesday, April 26.
5. REF will announce the scholarship recipients by June 30, 2023.
