About the Capital Region Builders & Remodelers Association

Who We Are

The Capital Region Builders & Remodelers Association (CRBRA) is the local home builders association and NAHB affiliate representing the residential construction industry across New York's Capital Region and northeastern New York.

Our members include professional home builders, remodelers and businesses that support the residential construction industry. CRBRA provides advocacy, networking, education, resources and opportunities that help our members strengthen their businesses and the communities they serve.

Our Service Area

CRBRA represents members throughout a 12-county territory that includes Albany, Clinton, Columbia, Essex, Franklin, Greene, Montgomery, Rensselaer, Saratoga, Schenectady, Warren and Washington counties.​

Our members serve communities throughout the region, including Albany, Troy, Schenectady, Clifton Park, Saratoga Springs, Glens Falls and Plattsburgh, as well as surrounding communities across our 12-county territory.

Our Affiliations

CRBRA is affiliated with the New York State Builders Association (NYSBA) and the National Association of Home Builders (NAHB). Membership in CRBRA connects members at all three levels of the federation, providing access to advocacy, resources, education and industry expertise at the local, state and national levels.

Our History

The Capital Region Builders & Remodelers Association (CRBRA) was formed in 2003 through the merger of the Albany and Schenectady home builders associations. Originally headquartered in Rotterdam and later Latham, CRBRA established a permanent home in Clifton Park with the purchase of its office building at 10 Old Plank Road in March 2018.

In 2023, CRBRA expanded its reach through a merger with the Builders and Remodelers Association of Northern New York (BRANNY), extending the association's service area into northeastern New York and creating the 12-county territory CRBRA represents today.
